34%

reduction in downtime

The Problem

A manufacturing plant faced heavy losses from sudden electric motor failures on critical assembly lines. Legacy monitoring only flagged problems when a machine physically stalled, causing massive production delays.

The Solution

We designed custom vibration and temperature sensor nodes with STM32 microcontrollers, integrated Modbus RTU communication, and linked them to an industrial LoRaWAN gateway. Data is processed locally and pushed to AWS IoT Core for continuous anomaly detection.

Engineering Challenges

Designing circuits for high-interference factory floors (vibration and electromagnetic noise) and optimizing low-power battery operations to last over 3 years.

Outcome & Performance

Unplanned downtime dropped by 34%. Deployed across 12 manufacturing lines with zero network drops, capturing early bearings wear weeks before hardware failure.
